For the love of letters

Dearest Reader,

Don’t you just love reading beautiful things? I do too. And you know what, I find some other-worldly beauty in letters.

I often get to read excerpts of Kafka’s “Letters to Milena” on my Instagram’s explore page. And I love it when people share those lines on their Insta-stories, pairing it with songs with calming, and sometimes heart-breaking, lyrics. I find it beautiful.

I was sitting in my room, with the curtains down, and I saw the sunlight making its way on one of the walls, painting my whole room with a hint of golden-orange shades of light. It felt as if I had received a letter from faraway. As if I had received a message encoded with those rays from someone’s dream that got lost on its way. And do you know what it told me? It had a request. It asked me to collect beautiful letters and words from around the world, from movies, books, and articles; and to share them all with the world. And I think I will have to do so.

After all, It was someone’s dream, and I was the medium.

Let’s hope we get to see those letters soon.
